BOO BASH 2006 AT THE AGORA!

I have to admit, I was a little concerned about the change of venue for BOO BASH this year. It has always been such a tradition at The Odeon. This year's event was one of the best ever with great performances by BOWLING FOR SOUP and INNER CITY OUTLET. The costumes were also rockin'. Loved Britney Spears and her enterouge...The Potatoe Heads were quite strong. Good to see the Buckeyes represented. BOO BASH always brings out the best in our listeners and this year's event was no exception. Thanks to everyone for making the night a blast! Our promotions department did an excellent job making the event come to life. Also, quick shoutouts to the Canadians who stopped by, The Peanut Lady and Giant Green Bug Guy!
REBECCA and I backstage gettin' pumped up for the big stage announcements.
Hangin' with Tim Richard and Jen Toohey in our festive "Crime Scene Attire"
Great to see Britney out at Boo Bash with the family. I found it quite resourceful for her to be using a KFC bucket to hold the lil wee one.
Corey the Pet Lady (right) stopped by Boo Bash after winning "MS. BIMEADRINK"
JOHN CONNOR and I at Boo Bash
BIG times at Boo Bash

BOO BASHIN' WITH BOWLING FOR SOUP!

Jarrett and Eric from BOWLING FOR SOUP stopped by the show Friday morning and played a coulple of tunes for us. The highlight of the morning happened when GLENN THE FUNNY SONG MAN played his version of "1925" for the guys. I have said it before, GLENN is a true talent and critical to our show's success. It was very cool to see the guys in the band genuinely laugh along with the song!

PURPLE PIRATES NOW 4-1-2 AFTER TIE SATURDAY

RANDALL SCOTT, GABBY and I after Saturday's game
THE PURPLE PIRATES rallied to tie the Green Tigers 4-4 Saturday morning. The Pirates are now 4-1-2 with the tie. The game was the most exciting of the season as both teams battled back and forth on a rain-drenched muddy field. The final game of the season is coming up next weekend. WILDE AND FEE SENIOR YOUTH SOCCER CORRESPONDANT RANDALL SCOTT was on location to cover the game. He'll have a full report Monday morning with WILDE AND FEE.

Listener hurt while golfing????

I have broken my wrist while literally standing on a golf course between shots. I have listed it as one of my most embarrassing stories on our website....that has inspired listener Marcie to tell her story from last weekend........

Hello!

First off..love the show...you two do a great job!

I think you might get a laugh or two out of this.....
I was just reading your profile on the website and noticed your embarrassing story. My most recent embarressment involves golf, too! I got a concussion playing golf last Saturday!!! I was running...ok, I was actually skipping, back to the cart from the hole and I tripped over the ropes along the grass!!! I fell to the cart path and my head bounced off the concrete! I had to go to the doctor and get a CT scan!! I also have a slight black eye and several scratches on my elbow, hip, and knee!! Talk about embarrassing!!!

Your partner in clumsy golf,

Marcie

PURPLE PIRATES POST PRACTICE PILE ON

Wednesday's practice was capped off with a post practice PURPLE PIRATE pile-on. Carly looks on as my daughter Gabby, Anthony, Dylan, Connor, Peter and Dylan throw down. The Pirates play Saturday morning and close out the season the following weekend.

JAMES BLUNT stopped by the show Wednesday. He was more than rady to shut down our questions about PETRA NEMCOVA and their alleged break-up. He performed "Good Bye My Lover" in studio before a very small audience on our show. He is first class and a great guest!

THE OFFICIAL 2006 FALL PHOTO

Each Fall it is a tradition in our house to take the OFFICIAL FALL PICTURE of our daughter GABBY. We have done this EVERY year of GABBY's life and it's always an awesome experience. We always have a good time looking for the perfect place and the best fall colors. On Monday afternoon, GABS and I ventured off to find that perfect place. These three pictures are among the finalists for the OFFICIAL FALL 2006 PICTURE. Which one do you like the best? Drop me a line at AllanQ104@AOL.COM or post a comment here on the blog.

GABBY snags a water break after Monday's soccer practice. It's hard to believe there are just two games left in the season.

PURPLE PIRATES WIN 6-1 SATURDAY

GABBY is all smiles after a post game hot shower. She scored 2 goals in the win.

THE PURPLE PIRATES rolled to a 6-1 win over the red team Saturday in 45 degree temps. My daughter GABBY scored two goals in the game. This was the best team game of the season for us as THE PRUPLE PIRATES improved to 4-1-1. CONNOR scored his first goal of the season. I'm so proud to be his coach. He has played so well this season and he truly earned the goal. DYLAN S. also scored in the game along with ANTHONY P and STEVEN.
COACH MARTY and his son STEVEN go over the line ups between periods. COACH MARTY looks the most coach-like with his clipboard each week. It's worth noting that the line-ups are done on a fancy computer spreadsheet each Saturday...not, that uh, we take it too seriously...ish. CONNOR celebrates his first goal of the season Saturday with a post-game snackable.

COMEDIAN RICHARD LEWIS stopped by Friday morning. He will be on another season of CURB YOUR ENTHUSIASM.

PURPLE PIRATES ROLL TO THIRD WIN!

Anthony, Steven, my daughter Gabby and Jack all scored goals in Saturday's 7-2 win. THE PURPLE PIRATES are 3-1-1 so far this season.
GIRL POWER!!! Carly and Gabby are the only two girls on the team. Carly is enjoying her best season ever! She is one of our best defensive players. Gabby has scored two goals so far this season and is havin' a blast!
Alex, Dylan, Peter and Dylan all enjoy a post game victory snack.
Assistant Coach Tom's son Jack celebrates his first goal of the season with a RICE KRISPIES treat after the game. ...Assistant Coach Marty (back left) grimaces after he realizes Jack took the last one.

THE BARENAKED LADIES STOP BY WILDE AND FEE SHOW

BARENAKED LADIES stopped by the show Thursday before their Q LOUNGE performance. They are one of my all-time favorite bands and it's always very cool to hang out with them. They sounded great! Can't wait for their CSU show at the end of the month.
Steven, Kevin, Ed, me, Jim and Tyler with his festive hat. They are always an outta control interview both on and off the air. Their live performance of ONE WEEK was sweet. We will be airing on the show tomorrow. My favorite all time BNL song is THE OLD APARTMENT.

PURPLE PIRATES PICTURE NIGHT

PURPLE PIRATES PICTURE NIGHT took place Monday night. The 2-1-1 PIRATES had a good time "photo-oppin'" for the parents. The toughest part of picture night was getting the kids to pose for a serious picture. We had to hold "TREAT NIGHT WEDNESDAY" over their heads to get them to pose for a somewhat "normal" team picture.
ASSISTANT COACH TOM and his son JACK hang out after practice Monday night. Here, Jack demonstrates how he scoops up the ball as goalie by using Tom's head as the ball.
Gabs and I after practice Monday night.
ASSISTANT COACH MARTY and his sons STEVEN and PETER. Although Marty complains openly about his lavendar shirt, we feel he secretly likes it. Marty had a strong coaching performance during Saturday's game when he showed up with a canopy to cover the players on the sidelines and protect them from the elements.
COACH DOM and his son ANTHONY at a recent practice. DOM often wears OSU gear to cover up the fact he is not wearing his lavendar coaching shirt. There is a rumor among the coaches that DOM wanted to name the team THE PURPLE BUCKEYES...as head coach, I had to step in and keep the PIRATE name intact.
Connor, Carly, Alexander, Gabby, Steven, Anthony, Peter, Dylan, Dylan and Jack.
Gabby and I at the end of practice Monday night. Gabs insisted on playin' with her pirate head gear....
It's much easier to get the PURPLE PIRATES to pose for a silly picture than an actual team photo...after all, we are the team "havin' the most fun!"

THE PENGUIN GAME

Amy sent in this fun lil game....not sure why, but it is addicting and totally cracks up my daughter Gabby ...click on the link for good times.... http://www.deviantart.com/deviation/40255643/?&q=by%3Afsk&qh=sort%3Atime+-in%3Ascraps
