MORE ON PEDAL TO THE POINT 2006

Allan,

Congratulations on a job well done. I was listening to you one morning on the way to the Mellen Center for MS and heard you talking about the ride. I want to thank you for your dedication and concern in regards to this devistating disease. I was disagnosed with MS in August 2003 and had to stop working in November 2005 due to MS. I was reading your blogs and saw that a woman named Carol rode as a member of the Wolfpack Team. My brother also rode this year, his second time, as a member of the Wolfpack Team also. I am so proud of him, you and everyone else that took the time to do this. Maybe someday they will find a cure and a reason why so many people suffer from this disease. I still listen to you when I am able to - keep up the the good work in everything you do! I really enjoy your morning show! Would love to hear from you!

THE 2006 PEDAL TO THE POINT

The 2006 PEDAL TO THE POINT was my first. I have to admit, I was concered about making the trip to Sandusky and then, the trip BACK the next day. On day one, we faced everything. A massive rainstorm soaked us early followed by a constant head wind that made it tough to ride. On the first day, we rode 80 miles from the Berea Fairgrounds to Sandusky. The return trip was 89 miles with a constant wind that made the ride much more difficult.
Recovering from the tightness after day one was probably the biggest challenge. Those who make long rides for the first time don't realize what crazy things happen to your body. It's really not about the energy level, it's about "SEAT MANAGEMENT" I'll leave it at that.
I have to credit my friend Cindy Ferch (pictured) for encouraging me to make the ride and then bein' a wingman along the way. She taught me that HO HOS actually are a better energy source than fruit. The entire Medical Mutual team was quite festive and made the overall ride enjoyable.
The race is very well run and the volunteers were awesome. I will definately ride the event again.

JORDAN KNIGHT FROM NEW KIDS ON THE BLOCK

JORDAN KNIGHT from NEW KIDS ON THE BLOCK stopped by Tuesday morning. He took a ton of calls from several passionate fans. I have to admit, I was surprised at how shy he was in person. He was very kind to us behind-the-scenes. At the risk of potentially losing my man card, I thought it was pretty cool meeting a guy from a band that was as big as they were. His new disc "LOVE SONGS" is in stores on September 12th.

My daughter and I catch a lil "shade" after my bike ride Sunday. I rode Valley View to Penninsula both Saturday and Sunday. The 27-mile roundtrip is beautiful. I have really enjoyed the Towpath this summer and hope to participate in this weekend's Pedal To The Point. It's a 160 mile ride to Sandusky ...80 miles there on Saturday and 80 miles back on Sunday.

SKIPPY THE PROGRAM DIRECTOR POOL PARTY IN WESTLAKE..

Skippy our Program Director had a pool party at his estate in Westlake over the weekend. Producer Nick was more than happy to show off his abs. Tim Richards ate most of the guacamole, John Connor drank all the beer and Jen Toohey ended her streak of 1,247 days of not going into a pool in a swimsuit.

In this picture, John Connor reacts to Tim Richards finishing off the guacaomole.

Special thanks to Skippy for hosting a "fabulous" event. It's great havin' a boss who has a better tan than Jen Toohey and Tim Richards combined. Skippy's family is a wonderful group of people. I would also like to personally apologize to his neighbors for driving over several lawns.

PHONE SCREENER CHERISE's LAST WILDE AND FEE SHOW

Today was PHONE SCREENER CHERISE'S last show with us. Behind-the-scenes, Cherise has been a key person in putting our show together. I can't thank her enough for all her hard work and for letting us air her personal life.....especially during the NICK LACHEY SCANDAL. Everyone on the show loves working with Cherise and will miss seeing her each morning. She is the voice you often heard when calling into the show. Although she is leaving us, she is still apart of the Q104 family. She will be working with the Q104 STREET TEAM. "Hey, I had to get a real job" She said after she "graduated" from our show. Cherise, thank you for everything!!!

CO HOSTING GOOD COMPANY ON CHANNEL 3 THIS MORNING......

I had a chance to co-host GOOD COMPANY on CHANNEL 3 this morning. Special thanks to my good friend ANDREA VECCHIO for a chance to sit in for Michael and Fred. Pictured left to right: Producer Tina, Eileen McShea, Me, Andrea and Producer Claire. They have a blast on the show and it's always a good time. Other than my bad hair gel and popping a button, I felt good about how everything went.
ANDREA VECCHIO, EILEEN McSHEA and I chat before we go on the air. Andrea told me to wear dark striped clothes to look better on TV...clearly that plan didn't work...Andrea and I always have a good time together. We laugh a lot when we do the show.
PRODUCER CLAIRE DONOVAN and I share a chuckle after the show. She says I'm much better looking on the radio......should I be insulted?
Fianancial expert KEVIN MYEROFF tries to give me financial advice during our segment together. Kevin is a dear friend and much funnier off the air.

Q104 TREASURE HUNT A HUGE SUCCESS

Thank you to everyone who participated in the Q104 Treasure Hunt. We gave away a trip to Orlando at Crocker Park Monday afternoon on humid afternoon.
Jen Toohey stopped by for the trip giveaway. She joined Rebecca and I and a few of our favorite listeners.
The TREASURE HUNT was awesome! I loved that so many of our listeners had such a great time collecting all the items. Even those who didn't win said they really enjoyed the experience. I am very proud to work for a radio station that does things differently. We had just as much fun putting the list together and talking about the TREASURE HUNT on the air. Thanks again to our loyal listeners who make it worth while for us.
JOHN CONNOR and I rode 22 miles on the Towpath Tuesday night. Both John and I tested negative for doping and edged out FLOYD LANDIS near route 82 to earn the win for team Q104.
My daughter Gabby joined me on the golf course over the weekend for a family outing. I shot my best round in six years...an 85 at Briarwood. I credit Gab's work as a caddie for my solid round.

ANNA NALICK AT HOUSE OF BLUES

The Anna Nalick show at HOB last night was just "ok". I love the song "Breathe" and find the rest of her music to be pretty good. It was a low-key show that lacked stage precense.

Special thanks to my friend Jakob who sent me this pic from the show last night. He had a chance to meet her and said she was very cool.
