Today is my daughter GABBY's 8th birthday. Because I arrive to work before she wakes up each morning, I have her send me a picture from my wife's cell phone to mine each day. This is the picture from this morning where she got up and opened up her gift from us. GABS is amazing and her birthday is such a great reminder of the greatest day of my life.

GABBY TURNS 8!!
Each year on my daughter's birthday, I am reminded of the greatest single moment in my life; the day she was born. I will never forget crying my eyes out and feeling so happy that we had a lil girl. Gabby is such a happy and curious young lady who loves to laugh and play. I am so proud of who she is and who she is becoming. From coaching her soccer team to just hangin' out at the coffee shop with her, it's awesome being her Dad. Happy birthday Gabs, I LOVE YOU!
On Friday, we celebrated Gabby's 8TH birthday with all her "girl friends". Her actual birthday is coming up Tuesday.

ALLISON ALEXANDER GUEST HOSTS
ALLSION ALEXANDER is one of my favorite people. She is awesome at her work as morning anchor for 19 ACTION NEWS and she's a blast to be around. Although we consider her to be one of our "high maintenance guests", she is fun and has a great sense of humor. We always seems to argue when she stops by the show, but it's a blast to do the show with her.
*Allison was the FIESTA BOWL QUEEN in 1996
*Allison was in the Miss Arizona pageant, but didn't win.
*Allison has lived in 14 cities in 7 states
*She is a neighbor of 19 ACTION NEWS weather man BRUCE KALINOWSKY
*She has several nicknames: BOO, GOOSE, ALLI, DOODLEBUG, LIL ONE

GOOD COMPANY APPEARANCE
BOOTCAMP BABE ELLEN attaches the "device" to me and then...BAM!!!, down goes the big man.....
ANDREA VECCHIO loves that the BOOTCAMP BABES are roughing me up with their giant rubberband stretch device thingy....
When I was invited to be a guest on GOOD COMPANY on Channel 3 this morning, I had no idea I was going to end up on a second segment of the show where I would be laid out on the floor by The Bootcamp Babes (Ellen and Jane) and "stretched" by a giant purple rubberband....but that's exactly what happened. Ellen and Jane stretched me in places that I didn't know existed on my person! I want to apologize to host ANDREA VECCHIO for screaming through a large portion of the segment. The Bootcamp Babes are based in Rocky River and they rock!

THE FRAY @ PLAYHOUSE SQUARE
THE FRAY played a sold-out PLAYHOUSE SQUARE Tuesday night. My friend Jeff Z. snapped this awesome pic during the show! The band covered songs from WEEZER to The BEATLES. I was surprised at how young the crowd was...or is my mid-life crisis kickin' in??? I may have been the oldest guy at the show! LOL!

Q104 BRIDAL FAIR 2007
PRODUCER NICK, ME and GLENN share a moment before the BRIDAL FAIR get underway. NICK thought his tux should have had a lil more sumptin' sumptin' to support his alleged street cred. Meanwhile, GLENN, as in past years, pulls off the bright colored tux. ...he's the only guy on the show who could pull of YELLOW.
MIKE THE INTERN, me and CHERISE. For the record, that is MIKE's best shirt. I'm lobbyin' for the interns to get tuxes next year...this is what happens when you leave it up to Mike The Intern.

ROCK STAR CLASSIC MOMENTS
With the BILLY JOEL concert announcement this week (April 13th at The Q) and the ROCK AND ROLL HALL OF FAME announcement for VAN HALEN, I thought it would be fun to go through the scrapbook and look up old "Rock Star Moment" pix. Above, BILLY JOEL and I backstage at his show at "The Gund" a few years back. Below, SAMMY HAGAR and I before a show back in the late 90's.
How bout that PILSBURY DOUGHBOY chin??? When it comes to VAN HALEN, I prefer VAN HAGAR...but I do like DLR with the band too. SAMMY HAGAR is in my top 3 all time cool famous people to meet. We had almost a half hour of one-on-one time. He was very down-to-earth and awesome to talk to. In my mind, I played it pretty cool....but I was pretty star-struck.

"MR. FEE" GOES BACK TO SCHOOL...
Every couple of weeks, I have the opportunity to volunteer at Gabby's school. The experience is priceless and I usually end up learning something. I'm very lucky that my schedule gives me the opportunity to visit her school and get to know her teacher and classmates. I feel particularly old, however, when the kids refer to me as "Mr. Fee". But I do get a kick when they ask, "Mr. Fee, can I get a drink of water?"
On Tuesday, I stopped by my daughter's class to help teach symetry. It is quite evident that I won't be seeking my masters in teaching anytime soon. I truly had a blast and Gabby enjoyed seein' DADDY at school . I'm told I should enjoy that as long as I can...the clock is tickin'.... 7 becomes 16 pretty quick I hear!

NO ALCOHOL FOR 30 DAYS!
This morning on the show, each of us came up with something that we would give up for 30 days. I selected no drinking for a couple of different reasons. 1. It's a great way to jump start a healthy new year. They say if you cut out drinking, you can lose weight.
2. I wanted to show that I could do it. I attend so many social events where drinking is commonplace.
It's amazing the response I have gotten so far from fellow social drinkers. I've heard everything from "Wow, what are you gonna do for the OSU game?" to "Oh my God, I couldn't do that." The truth is, it's a social habit for many of us. Every time I go to a sporting event or concert, it's a given to grab a beer or two. I want to see how it goes for an entire month alcohol free. My guess is that it will feel great. Healthy. Suburban Marty, a friend from my development says he's gonna to try the same thing. Here's to the next 30 days....CHEERS!!!
