KATIE COURIC CO WORKER WITH WILDE AND FEE????

Katie Couric breaks down in tears once she realized she would be working with WILDE AND FEE in the CBS family.

"I thought I was joning a credible organization until I realized I would be working in the same company as WILDE AND FEE?"

Couric ended her 15 year run on TODAY this morning. She joins CBS as the nightly news anchor in September.

AWESOME LOOOOONG WEEEEKEND!!!

We had a blast at ATWOOD LAKE south of Canton over the weekend. My daughter Gabby went fishing for the first time ever and caught FOUR fish!!!! Dad caught, uh, nothin'......for the record, we threw 'em back...
On Friday night, soccer coach TOM and soccer coach MARTY joined me and Gabs for the US vs Venezuela soccer match at Cleveland Browns Stadium. The US won 2-0!!! Cool to see almost 30,000 fans there. It set a record in OHIO.

YOUR MUSIC, YOUR STATION, YOUR WILDE AND FEE!

Listener Rachel and Listner Andrea photo op as PRODUCER NICK (deep far left) looks on in envy.

Good times Thursday morning on WILDE AND FEE LISTENER APPRECIATION WEEK. We had a live studio audience all morning. Special thanks to ED from LIVE for callin' into the show after his IDOL performance last night with CHRIS DAUGHTRY. Big FESTIVE FRIDAY show live studio audience tomorrow morning...if you want to sit in with the show, drop me a line at AllanQ104@AOL.COM.

LISTENER APPRECIATION WEEK ROLLS ON.....

Listener Andrea handled weather duty throughout the morning....along with her pre-school teacher day job and bartender night job, she has offered to come in EVERY day and handle weather duties for WILDE AND FEE!
Listener BECKY took time out from her ER job to throw down some baseball knowledge and then........it was time for IN STUDIO AUDIENCE IDOL.....

....BECKY belted out her best KELLY CLARKSON and went on to win the competition. She later performed for an ABC talent scout in studio who said, uh, she was...pretty good and stuff....

MOM SHEREE brought her son TAYLOR to the show to help him celebrate his 17th birthday. We fed the young lad pizza and listener BECKY did ...an ok job of HAPPY BIRTHDAY...we all chuckled....

PAPA HOTZ from HOTZ CAFE in OHIO CITY brought the crew down for festive times. Here, he hangs with Listener RACHEL for a heartwarming moment.

WHEN IS LIVE COMING TO CLEVELAND AGAIN???

Hi Allan,

Live is mine and my sister's favorite band, too. We LOVE them. We justwent and saw them when they were at the HOB on Mother's Day, and it wasmy 9th Live concert, and her 8th Live concert. Please, when they are onyour show this morning, can you ask them when they're coming back toCleveland? Please tell them their 3 biggest fans are right here in Akron/Cleveland- you, me, and my sister, Heather.Thank you!!!

Have a great day,

Timi Paradis

Timi,

Nothing is formal yet.....but I'm hearing OCTOBER - ish...certainly this Fall.

Be@peace,

Allan

ED FROM LIVE CALLS THE SHOW!

ED from LIVE called the show this morning to talk about his appearance on AMERICAN IDOL and his thoughts on CHRIS DAUGHTRY. Last night, the two teamed up for "MYSTERY", a new song from the new LIVE disc. Listener CARRIE had a thrill of a lifetime, she called in to talk with ED. Several LIVE fans checked in via email this morning.....

Please let ED know the I think he is the BEST SINGER/SONGWRITER THERE EVER WAS. I have been a LIVE FAN since the album MENTAL JEWELRY. I really think he should know how much talent he really has

Thank You Karen B

WHATEVER WEDNESDAY LIVE STUDIO AUDIENCE

Listener Appreciation Week continued on a WHATEVER WEDNESDAY as Kelly, Alyssa and Sheree all stopped by for co-hosting duties. Kelly (left) handled weather duty for most of the morning, Alyssa (far right) won WILDE AND FEE KNOW THE SHOW TRIVIA and Sheree (glasses) won IN STUDIO OFFICE IDOL!

We have two more shows with live in studio audiences. If you want to sit in for your FREE tix, drop us a line at wildeandfee@q104.com.

IN STUDIO AUDIENCE IDOL!

In Studio Audience Idol proved to be quite competitive. Here is Alyssa Hilliard of Bedford throwin' down her rendition of Vanilla Ice's "Ice Ice Baby". Alyssa rock da house not only with her lyrical genius, but her hand gestures made it a performance of a lifetime. Alyssa's only vote was called in by her mother....hey, we'll take listeners any way we can get 'em!

Listener Kelly Novak of Mentor belted out "Love Stinks". She too got votes phoned in by family members. Kelly, who is a self-proclaimed rocker entertained the interns who weren't old enough to realize the song was not an origional that Kelly wrote on the spot specifically for IN STUDIO OFFICE IDOL.

Not only did Sheree Dole-ah-Zahl (geez, you try to spell it) accessorize well with her fancy red glasses, she blew away the competition with her Celine Dion tune. When she was able to incorporate "Cleveland" into the song, the competition was over. Despite her win, she was blasted earlier in the show for not being able to find a man. But again, she had pretty cool glasses.

LAKEWOOD RUGBY RULES!

The Lakewood Rugby Club couldn't have been more festive and kind than they were Tuesday night at PACER's for their fundraiser. It was my first ever to the bar. It's a really cool place to hang out.

Coach Paul gave me a hat and made me wear it. He said I would look like a "real rugby guy"...I think it only makes my head look even bigger! OY!

As a soccer coach, I can tell you that "soccer moms" are cool, but rugby moms mean business.

The kereokee fundraiser was goin' great, right up until coach Paul (a real Aussie) and I were forced into a "suicide kerokee" edition of "I touch Myself". Although I found coach Paul to be a handsome man, I was a tad ucomfortable during the performance. Coach Paul is comin' on the show tomorrow to discuss their next fundraiser and to get his team pumped for what will be a NATIONAL CHAMPIONSHIP for LAKEWOOD!!! FYI, expect an awesome response when you ask: What do rugby players eat!?

Random note: coach Paul says real Aussie's don't like FOSTERS beer.

AMERICAN IDOL FINALE!

These Cleveland people are wacked!!!!! Taylor all the way baby!!!!!! I have loved Taylor since his first audition and would LOVE to see him win! Music needs him!!!!!

Thanks!

Tammy

LISTENER APPRECIATION WEEK CONTINUES...

Good Morning Allan!

I just wanted to thank you and the Q104 morning staff for yesterday!
It was an absolute blast and it was interesting to see what goes on “behind the scenes”.
That was also a nice little special extra about being on Fox8 with Kenny!

Thanks Again…and keep up the great work!

IDOL PREDICTION: Katharine, Taylor AND Chris WIN!!!

I'm picking Katharine McPHEE to win AMERICAN IDOL this week. I really like Taylor Hicks, but Katharine has the whole package! Overall, this season of AI will be the most successful. I feel the top three will go on and have strong careers in music. It really doesn't matter who wins at this point, because Katharine, Taylor and, of course, Chris will be just fine.

Katharine has the overall winning pop formula. If she gets the right songs, she can be competitive with Kelly Clarkson's success. We all know that Chris has already hit the ground running with FUEL and LIVE. The rock arena is screaming for a talent like him to burst onto the scene. As for Taylor, I agree with Rebecca, Michael Buble, Clay Aiken and Josh Groben have carved out a style of music that is quite relevant today. Clearly, AMERICAN IDOL has never been stronger. Who knew the show could have such a huge effect on the music industry!

Also.....very impressed with Rebecca's live coverage of AMERICAN IDOL from the KODAK THEATRE in HOLLYWOOD. Her interview with Chris, Bucky and ACE were awesome. I look forward to her coverage tomorrow on the show.

IN - EX - ES....ISH...

Hey Allan,

I promise I'm working on my pronoucment of the band name INXS. My husband is now completely embarrassed and I am never living this down ...but hey, what can you do? Thanks again for this morning, love the pictures and God Bless!

Angie Yarnell

KICKIN' IT WITH KENNY!

KENNY CRUMPTON stopped by WILDE AND FEE to do live shots on FOX 8 NEWS in the MORNING. He talked with LISTENER APPRECIATION winners Jon, Angie and Julie on tv. I am continuing to back KATHARINE MCPHEE on AMERICAN IDOL. Rebecca remains firm in her support for TAYLOR HICKS.

RANDOM KENNY CRUMPTON FUN FACT: KENNY has a promotional FOX 8 shirt in every color of the rainbow.

LISTENER APPRECIATION DAY!

We appreciate our listeners! We are having live studio audiences all week this week. On Tuesday, Julie Haskell from Lakewood, Angie Yarnell of Louisville and Jon Turney from Cuyahoga Falls were kickin' it with Kenny Crumpton from FOX 8. Julie, Angie and Jon got air time both with WILDE AND FEE and FOX 8 IN THE MORNING.

Listener Jon couldn't quite fit into his Q-WEAR, so we stickered him (for promotional purposes only).

Listener Jon kicks it with Kenny. Jon is an aspiring broadcaster. Kenny had to pull the microphone out of Jon's hands multiple times during the big tv broadcast....

It became quite clear all morning that Listener Angie had previous photo-op experience. We had to surgically remove her from Kenny Crumpton's left cheek after show. Both are doing fine.

Congrats to Listener Julie's win with WILDE AND FEE KNOW THE SHOW TRIVIA...here are some of the questions and answers....

PEARL JAM FEEDBACK

I just read the blog..and am not sure what people are complaining about. So what they didn't play Even Flow or Alive. They have like a hundred songs and everyone always wants them to play the songs that the radio stations overkill! I personally like the original songs that you don't hear on the radio. I thought the concert was awesome! Eddie rocks as a musician and his vocals still sound the same! I think this was one of his best shows other than when he played at Lollapalooza I believe in 1992??

Beth Poduska

PEARL JAM AT "THE Q"

It was great to see PEARL JAM at THE Q Saturday night. Great to see them doing so many songs on this tour! Interesting that they opened with BETTER MAN. I was surprised they didn't play EVENFLOW or JEREMY. Odd that they wouldn't play those songs.

What's up with cutting off the beer at 9:15pm? Who does that? "Per Pear Jam's request????" Eddie V. apparently shut it down...as he drank from a bottle throughout the show all night? Not quite sure I get the point.

I learned from insiders at THE Q that PEARL JAM had more security than any other band they have had there. PJ had their own security force and the rest of the security was pretty tight all night. Seemed a lil intense for a rock show.

Overall, I loved seeing the show. Without question, the highlight of the night had to be ALIVE.

Thoughts on the show? Did you go? Drop me a line at AllanQ104@aol.com or put a comment on this blog.

ORANGE KRUSH END SEASON....

THE ORANGE KRUSH soccer season came to end on Saturday....The team lost the season finale 4-2. After falling down early, 2-0, "THE KRUSH" rallied to tie the score at two before giving up two late goals.

Despite the heartbreaking loss, snack team was quite festive. It's amazing what a juice box and a sack of chips can do for a kid's spirit....

Steven and Gabby messin' around during post game festivities. Steven rocked in Saturday's game scoring both of our team's goals. His dad Marty was rollin' video and was quite pleased!

It always amazes me how soccer is not so much bigger on a national level. So many soccer families come out every Saturday and have so much fun with the game. There truly isn't a better game for kids to play. My hope is that someday, soccer will be as important here as it is to the rest of the world. With the WORLD CUP games coming up, I hope that more kids will watch the games and aspire to do so much more than just play as a kid. True atheletes play soccer. If you have a true passion for the game, it will pay off in so many ways.

Carly, Steven, Gabby and Jarrett

Carly, Gabby and Amanda pose for some post-game photo-ops.

I can't begin to tell you how great it is to coach soccer. Saturday's game was so much fun. So many highlights..from my daughter Gabby hitting the post, a puddle stopping a goal against us and seeing my friend and assistant coach Marty's son score two goals. It has all been so exciting and fun for all of us. Assistant coach Tom's defensive strategy almost paid off today. I can't thank Tom and Marty enough for giving up their Saturday's and time out in the mud and rain. Thank you to each of the kids who made this season special for all of us.....I leave you with this; DRIBBLE, PASS,SPREAD OUT!!!!

While reading their story you could hear how excited and happy they were - it was great. Hopefully someday I'll have a similiar story! Anyway, I just wanted to say that I think you are a great guy.

SCOTT STAPP WILDE AND FEEDBACK....

Allan,
Thanks so much for including My Own Prison in the playlist while the interview with Scott was playing this morning! It is my all-time favorite Creed song and I loved hearing it on your morning show (while I was at work.) I actually smiled from ear to ear when it started playing!!!!
Is it possible, you can start to play some of his solo music from " The Great Divide?" The music and lyrics of the songs on this CD are beautiful and powerful and have touched me in many ways personally as I related them to my life! I just know other Scott Stapp fans and listeners of Q104 would be relate to them too! Scott really has a great message.....we just have to help him get it out there!
A new morning show listener,

WILDE AND FEE AND SCOTT STAPP

SCOTT STAPP stopped by WILDE AND FEE to tape an interview Wednesday morning. The interview will air Thursday morning on Q104. SCOTT will open for INXS Friday night at PLAYHOUSE SQUARE. He and his family have been in town for several days rehearsing for the tour. They have been working 12-13 hours a day here in Cleveland. STAPP, who was married February 10th has put the infamous "Good to be the king" video behind him and is set to headline his own tour this fall.

Other random notes about SCOTT STAPP....

*This is his third trip to Cleveland within a year.
*His 7 year old son Jagger wrote his first song this past fall.

Rebecca photo-ops with SCOTT STAPP after his WILDE AND FEE appearance.

Kathy and Elaine road-tripped to the WILDE AND FEE SHOW to meet and hang with SCOTT STAPP. Kathy and Elaine had a chance to ask SCOTT a few questions on their and have this ROCK STAR MOMENT. They are true SCOTT STAPP fans... check out their website at www.passionbreedsfollowers.com site.

SOCCER IN THE RAIN

Allan,
I am all about kids having fun in the puddles. They look like they are having a blast!

ORANGE KRUSH ENTER FINAL WEEK OF SEASON

My daughter's ORANGE KRUSH soccer team entered the final week of practice Tuesday night. Despite the rain, it was all about DRIBBLE, PASS and SPREAD OUT. As we get set for the final game Saturday, the team is startin' to figure it all out. On Tuesday night, it was all about splashing in the puddles...every once in awhile, we scored. These kids are so amazing! Spring soccer can be tough attendance and weather - wise. Despite having won only one game so far, we are the team having the most fun.....

SOCCER IN THE RAIN

Gabby, Steven, Jack and Peter brave the elements as we prepare for the final game of the season Saturday. Despite the low turnout, we had a blast!

CAVS DO IT AGAIN!!!

What an amazing night at THE Q AGAIN!!! The CAVS shocked the Pistons to tie up the series. It's so great to see basketball matter so much in Cleveland. The fans have been great and the team is finding a way to win! I went to game four with Ken from Q104 (pictured left) and my friend Brian (pictured right). We were more exhausted than the players after the game. The CAVS are clearly the most exciting team in basketball right now...I'm not sure I can handle game six Friday night at THE Q!

LIVE SHOW AT HOUSE OF BLUES

The LIVE show at House of Blues Sunday night was awesome!!! Highlights included Ed's version of WALK THE LINE (stolen by Chris Daughtry on IDOL), LIGHTNING CRASHES, I ALONE and several new songs from the new disc. The band announced that SONGS FROM BLACK MOUTAIN will be out on JUNE 13th. There are some strong songs on the new disc including THE RIVER and MYSTERY. Ed closed out the show with DANCE WITH YOU. The show was awesome. I'm hearing rumors that LIVE is coming back to Cleveland sometime in October.

ORANGE KRUSH FINALLY WIN!!!

THE ORANGE KRUSH won their first game of the season on Saturday. My daughter Gabby scored two goals in a 3-0 win! The Thursday practice in the rain paid off as we once again had to brave the elements! We play our final game of the season this Saturday. It's hard to believe the season is ending...we are just startin' to play well....

IDOL FEEDBACK....

I just had to share my thoughts on the Idol results last night. I canguarantee you that I will not be watching the rest of idol. In my opinion the other three are not as good as Chris and I couldn't care lesswho wins now. My mother, sister and two friends all agree with me and said they will not be watching the rest of this season. That's okay Iwill just make sure I am one of the first in line when Chris brings outhis CD.

MaryEastlake

AMERICAN IDOL ROCKER SHOCKER!!!!!

CHRIS DAUGHTRY IS VOTED OFF IDOL!!?!?!?!?!?!? Everyone who called us this morning about Idol was shocked that Chris was voted off. Clearly, he was the heavy favorite to win. Several people called in saying they cried when they watched, some say "CONSPIRACY!"...others, say, maybe it's Chris' own fault......

My opinion about Chris - I think maybe people got tired of his cockiness. If and when Simon gave his unfavorable opinion, Chris just shrugged his shoulders as if his opinion didn't matter. Simon has been in the business for a long time and is very successful unlike a no name that got lucky at an audition. Maybe Chris should have acted like he valued Simon's opinion and he would be still on the show.
It is getting stupid with these people boycotting the show. Give me a break, it is a TV show!

EDWIN McCAIN STOPS BY APL RADIOTHON!

Long time friend EDWIN McCain stopped by Saturday afternoon to play a mini-concert for The APL staff, phone bankers and friends. He also made a donation to The APL. EDWIN has helped with so many Q104 events over the years and is, by far, the most sincere artist I have ever worked with. He went on to play his show Saturday night at The House of Blues. Jen Toohey and Producer Nick introduced his show at HOB where they gave the APL broadcast a big mention....the crowd was more than appreciative! Thank you EDWIN!!!

WE HELPED RAISE OVER $48,000 DOLLARS FOR THE APL!!!!

APL Dori, Engineer Rick and Rebecca and I pause for a quick photo-op between breaks of our 16 hour broadcast. We look forward to several more hours of talking about the importance of The APL here in Cleveland. The crew is first class and do so much more than I ever dreamed for animals. This is the first of many years to come for us!

WILDE AND FEE AND GODDARD!!!!

Dick Goddard stopped by Friday afternoon to talk about his love for animals. Goddard, who invented weather right after Moses parted The Red Sea (Dick laughed at that on the air..we love you Dick!) , shared his passion for pets and never actually gave a forecast. For those of you scoring at home, Mr. Goddard referenced his own WHOOLEY BEAR FESTIVAL 27 times! Oh, and tomorrow's forecast calls for sunny and 68 degrees.

Q104 PLEDGE FOR PETS RADIOTHON

Wilde and Fee broadcast live from The Cleveland Animal Protective League for 12 hours on Friday! What a pleasure to hear so many powerful stories from so many special people. Thank you to Judy, Dori, Rob, Sarah and so many others who made day one our event so successful!!! As you can imagine, Rebecca spent a large portion of the day ooooogling over many of the animals...including this wonderful lil kitty cat. Could a third cat be in her future???

WILDE AND FEEDBACK

Hey Allan,I love the Dancing Hippo.Ok, so it is a little dusturbing. But it is pretty fun and cute.

WILDE AND FEEDBACK

Allan,

You played a parody of a Destiny's child song - I'm a survivor - mocking our moron of a leader. I was wondering if there was a link (that I can't find) to the audio of that song - or could you send me the link from where ya'll found that?

I want to share it at work. I work outside the listening area - but I get a good hour of listening in on my way to work - the girls I work with always ask me what the daily poll was - or the recent celebrity scoop - They live for q104 - vicariously through me.

Thanks for making our water cooler so much more interesting.

In a random survey this morning, we found that 100% of our feamale listeners found their men to be "excellent" lovers. Clearly, our listeners have higher standards!

We talked to the world's biggest cheapskate Jeff Yeager this morning. AMERICAN IDOL last night....Katharine and Chris both torched one of their songs....but should be safe tonight...Taylor was quite festive, as always, with his version of PLAY THAT FUNKY Music. We are projecting Paris and Elliott in the bottom two tonight-with Elliot gettin' the boot...we love Elliott, but it's time....

HAVING A TOUGH DAY? CLICK THIS..

CLICK THIS FOR GOOD COMEDY...CAN TURN ANY MORNING AROUND....ESPECIALLY AT THE END....JUST SAYIN...
Dancing Hippo

AMERICAN IDOL: May 2, 2006 RE-CAP

Elliott is my pick to be voted off the show going into the night...I thought he did a better job than the judges said with ON BROADWAY. I've always loved that song.

Paris was born three years after I graduated high school! OY! Strong performance of the PRINCE song. Excellent stage prescence..

Chris nailed the STYX tune! He is my personal favorite musically. I have been projecting Chris and Katharine to go top two.

I miss the PICKLER comedy. Was she less talented than Elliott really? Or was it the sailboat fuel for brains approach that did her in???

Katharine was born my junior year in high school...am I too old for this show I ponder... She messed up the opening "ooooh" on the Phil Collins song....She looked strong and carried herself very well. Very safe performance. She had a couple of misses in the open and near close of the song....ooops! I'm no expert, but is that song that hard to sing?

Ever notice when Randy Jackson opens with "...uh, now listen...." nothing good follows...

Taylor Hicks! SLAM DUNK! How can you not love that song??? He must roll on!!! Second song was good enough...

Even though Chris torched his second song..he'll be fine...

Katharine BLACK HORSE and the CHERRY TREE...awesome performance musically... but on her knees on the floor barefoot? Odd..

My pick to leave: (even though its tough) Elliott

WILDE AND FEEDBACK

Subject: Absolutely

Was reading your page on Q104 website.

Under YOUR FAVORITE WORD, you forgot to put ABSOLUTELY!
You must say that work at least 50 times each day and I listen from 5:30 - 10am. I LOVE YOU GUYS! Just thought I would share that with you.

I am also the one who asked you who did that song over the rainbow/wonderful word. I ran out and picked up the Israel Kamakawiwo'ole CD right then! LOVE IT!

Talk to you again soon.

Be @ peace

WILDE AND FEEDBACK: CHEATING!!!

I would say, yes, absolutely it's cheating! Guys are visual, very visual! Anything that makes your mind go "there" is cheating. A man is like a microwave, he can get turned on in 2 seconds flat...no matter what he says, he is thinking of her in a sexual way, and if he's thinking of her in that manner, then he's NOT thinking about you. You are his wife...you should be the only one he's thinking about.I want my man to look at me, and only me!

WILDE AND FEEDBACK

Subject: Maple Heights

I think it is a wonderful idea to have that law. To many people refuse to take responsibility for their children these days.
Great Job!!!
I understand the problems that arise from working 3 jobs, but that does not make you less responsible for your children.

WILDE AND FEE LOVECOURT: Chelsea from Chardon wrote in to tell us her husband Gary has been getting lapdances at the strip club while conducting "business" with clients. He calls it harmless fun while getting his "work" done...she calls it CHEATING! In a close decision, you, the judge and the jury sided with Gary saying "it's not that big of a deal".

According to Askmen.com....
Men consider cheating kissing and beyond....women are much more complex...
Confiding in other women...36% say it's cheating
Dancing closely or Dirty Dancing...41% say it's cheating
Flirting provocativley...35%say it's cheating
Getting private dances at strip club...79% say it's cheating (our listeners disagreed on LOVECOURT)
Engaging in cybersex...80% say it's cheating

We talked to NEWSCHANNEL 5's RON REGAN about a disturbing trend in crime in movie theatre parking lots.
